Dost alternatives in 2026: seven options for accounts payable in mid-sized and large companies
The alternatives to Dost for a mid-sized or large company in Spain come in three types. There are automation platforms with payments included, such as Yooz. There are global procure-to-pay suites, such as Esker or Basware. And there are tools specialised in controlling the invoice against the purchase order and the delivery note, such as ininvoice. Two options that are not new software come on top: your ERP module and outsourcing invoice data entry.
This comparison is written for finance directors and accounts payable leads who already know Dost or are evaluating it. All third-party data comes from each vendor's public website, checked on 27 October 2026; if anything has changed since then, their website prevails. ininvoice is one of the options compared, and we say so from the start.
What is Dost?
Dost is AI software for accounts payable and accounts receivable that connects to the company's ERP. It is developed by Dost AI Solutions, S.L., with its registered office in Barcelona (legal notice), and its website dates its founding to 2021 (about us). It targets mid-sized and large companies across several sectors. What its public website says, checked on 27 October 2026 (Spanish pages):
- What it covers: it receives invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders and contracts by email, supplier portal, manual upload, API, EDI and e-invoicing; extracts the data without templates; proposes the GL coding; compares, line by line, the invoice with its purchase order, its delivery note and the contract signed with the supplier; runs automatic and multi-level approvals; pays suppliers with bank reconciliation; and offers a portal for suppliers and customers (dost.io/es).
- Groups of companies: it presents itself as multi-entity, multi-site and multi-currency, and says it routes each document to the right legal entity by its tax ID (global platform).
- ERP: its integrations page names Sage 200, Intacct and X3, SAP Business One and S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance (integrations).
- Compliance: it states ISO 27001 certification and compatibility with Verifactu, SII and SDI (dost.io/es).
- Price: it does not publish one; according to its FAQ, the plan depends on invoice volume and on how many people handle them (FAQ).
Which criteria are the Dost alternatives compared on?
ininvoice compares the alternatives to Dost on six criteria that can be checked on each vendor's website, not on feature lists:
- Who it presents itself for: the size and type of company it targets.
- Matching against purchase order and delivery note: whether its website says it compares the invoice with the purchase order and with the goods receipt.
- Payments: whether it pays suppliers from the tool itself.
- ERPs named: which systems it says it integrates with.
- Security: the certifications it states.
- Price: whether it publishes it.

When is Dost the best choice?
- You need to receive invoices by EDI or in a structured electronic format today, as well as PDF.
- You want to pay suppliers and reconcile the bank from the same tool.
- Your ERP is one of those Dost names (SAP, Business Central, Sage 200 or X3, Oracle) and you want a ready-made connector.
- Your procurement process requires an ISO 27001 vendor.
- You want a portal where suppliers can check the status of their invoices.
In any of those cases, Dost covers more than ininvoice does today, and the right thing is to say so.
When does each Dost alternative fit best?
- Yooz, if you are looking for a widely used platform with integrated payments and export to many accounting systems. We cover it in detail in Yooz versus ininvoice, and its own alternatives in Yooz alternatives (in Spanish).
- Esker, if your group wants to unify procurement, accounts payable and receivables in a single international suite; see Esker or ininvoice and Esker alternatives (in Spanish).
- Basware, if you operate in many countries, receive a large share of your invoices through an e-invoicing network and your ERP is SAP; see Basware or ininvoice.
- The ERP module, if you receive few invoices with a purchase order and your team has time to match them by hand.
- Outsourcing, if the problem is only data entry and not control.
If what you are looking for is not accounts payable but treasury (cash forecasting, banks and payments), the comparison is a different one: we explain it in Agicap alternatives (in Spanish).
When does ininvoice fit as an alternative to Dost?
ininvoice fits when the problem is not reading the invoice but knowing whether it is correct: groups with several legal entities that share suppliers, purchases by purchase order, goods with a delivery note and thousands of invoices a month. Each line is matched against its purchase order and its delivery note, at pre-tax prices, and the difference shows in euros with the tolerance in plain view (€1.50 or 2% per line by default, configurable). Each invoice goes to its legal entity by the recipient's tax ID (NIF), as we explain in multi-entity, and none is approved on its own: a person always decides from the dashboard.
What ininvoice does not do today: pay suppliers, read structured e-invoices (in development), offer a supplier portal or native integrations with any ERP (it exports importable CSV or Excel). If any of those points is a must, look at the options above first.
How do you compare Dost and its alternatives in a demo?
- Bring one month of invoices from one legal entity with their purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Include an invoice whose total matches the purchase order but with a different unit price, a partial delivery and an invoice addressed to another legal entity in the group.
- Ask them to show you the exceptions inbox: how many invoices are left, why, and how much money is at stake.
- Ask what happens when there is nobody who can approve an invoice.
The general criteria for choosing are in the accounts payable software selection guide, and the approach for groups in accounts payable for large companies.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Dost?
It depends on which part of the process you want to solve. If you are looking for a platform that also pays suppliers and runs their portal, Yooz or a suite such as Esker or Basware compete in that league. If what you need is to control every invoice against its purchase order and its delivery note in a group with several legal entities, ininvoice specialises in that. And if you receive few invoices with a purchase order, your ERP module may be enough.
Does Dost publish its prices?
No. As of 24 October 2026, Dost's website shows no prices: it offers a demo and a savings calculator. ininvoice does not publish prices either: it makes a tailored proposal after seeing your invoices (annual volume, legal entities and ERP).
Is Dost ISO 27001 certified?
According to its website, checked on 24 October 2026, yes: it states ISO 27001 certification. ininvoice does not hold any security certification today.
Can I try an alternative without leaving Dost?
Yes. The sensible approach is to compare using one month of real invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes from one legal entity, processed in parallel, and see which tool finds more real differences with fewer false alarms.
What should you remember about the Dost alternatives?
The alternative to Dost depends on which part of the process you want to solve. If you need payments, EDI or a supplier portal, Dost covers more than ininvoice does today. If you need to control every invoice against its purchase order and its delivery note across several legal entities, ininvoice specialises in that.
Try it with your own invoices
ininvoice reads each supplier invoice line by line, with no templates, from the mailbox or by manual upload, and exports what is validated as CSV or Excel for the ERP. Send me 3–5 supplier invoices and we will go through them together.
